One gram of antimatter costs 62.5 trillion dollars, which is almost 3 times the US economy!?
If you think that the most expensive materials on Earth are gold, diamonds, or platinum, then know that you are wrong!
What is antimatter?
Not to be confused with Negative mass or Dark matter.
The universe is mostly composed of matter in the form of atoms and molecules. There are, as has already been demonstrated and observed experimentally, fundamental particles that enter the composition of atoms, some parts of the atom, like the electron and quarks, and others traveling freely through the universe.
In recent decades, a lot of other elementary particles have been discovered and, in addition to locating and classifying them, scientists have tried to formulate a theory that describes the characteristics, behavior, and interactions between all these particles.
For each constituent particle of matter, as we perceive and know it, there is a correspondent in a world hidden from the observer on Earth, a so-called antiparticle. All these antiparticles make up the world of antimatter.
Antiparticles have similar properties to their counterparts in ordinary matter, i.e., they have the same mass and the same dimensions, only they are electrically oppositely charged.
